🔥 FROM THE ALBUM "SHOCK WAV" BY TITUS JONES
My fourth mashup album, released June 27, 2025.
A digital love letter to pop, rock, hip-hop, and electronic music from the 90s and early 2000s.
🎶 INTERLUDE 95
- Microsoft – Windows 95 Startup Music
- How the Universe Works – This Is What the Sun Sounds Like
- Soundgarden – Black Hole Sun
I've never done interludes on a mashup album before! But I really enjoyed the way Lady Gaga implemented them on Chromatica. So… I wanted to do something similar. Since we're already HEAVILY leaning into the retro computing vibes with the concept of WAV files and 90s/2000s music, I thought the various Windows startup compositions would make fantastic interlude material. I used a slowed down and reverbed version of the Windows 95 theme here, with some added drum and bass samples. Some science-y clips about recording sounds from space + some Black Hole Sun = our first interlude of the album.
