Original title, “This is Circles.” Ugh, I hate naming mashups, isn’t it just the worst? Who enjoys naming these things? All I got to work with are “Circles” and “This is America.” I just gave up and combined their names instead. Imagine my delight when I searched for “Childish Malone” on Google and got less than 5 results. Score!
Pulled this one out of the void during a jam session in the woods. My friends and I were camping out for the weekend. We were just vibing, the fire was cracking, it was a vibe. I had my iPad hooked up to an external speaker and was improvising mashups on the spot. I just tapped into something, I don’t know what it was but I was in this crazy flow state flow a good 40 minutes. Every mashup was a banger! I have the recordings saved still. It was such a great weekend. This was the best mashup from that session. I’m so happy to be finally be sharing it with you. (I found the original recording on Djay. The Jam session was on Sept 18 2021!! That was so long ago!)
By the way, if you search for "Childish Malone" today (Jan 16, 2023) on Google Images you can see the original album art before I changed it. There's a story behind that change and it's somewhat related to why it took me so long to premiere this video on YouTube. But that's a story for another video. For now, we vibe. Vibe with me.
