Even though they never worked together, there are many commonalities between David Byrne and David Bowie, beside their first name... Both original iconoclasts that defy categories, ever in search of new sounds and new ways of doing things... and both worked a lot with producer Brian Eno. This imaginary musical encounter between "Once In A Lifetime" (the Talking Heads' atypical hit of 1980) and "Bleed Like A Craze, Dad" (a little-known Bowie track from his 1993 soundtrack for The Buddha of Suburbia) is therefore not so incongruous...
NOTE: this is a reworking of a mashup previously released in 2019.
