"Fire for You", the 2019 chart-topping single by the indie pop band Cannons, gained a massive amount of airplay after being featured in an episode of the TV comedy-drama "Never Have I Ever".
"Hide and Seek", the 2005 best-selling single by Imogen Heap, also became hugely popular after appearing in another television drama: "The O.C." (You may know "Hide and Seek" from its bridge, which begins "Mmm, whatcha say..." and was sampled heavily in Jason Derulo's 2009 debut single, fittingly titled "Whatcha Say".)
Sometimes, songs with completely different origins have enough common musical elements to fit together well in a mashup, as I've (hopefully) shown here. Whatcha say about this combination, mmm?
