I've always thought the Star Control II music was excellent, and the starbase commander theme, in particular, was a banger. And I'm glad it has continued to live on, for free, through The Ur-Quan Masters. (It's also exciting the long overdue official sequel to the game, Free Stars: Children of Infinity, will be released next year.)
So I decided to see what would happen if I gave Suno the first minute of the song, and let the AI create whatever it wanted, by "extending" it until it finally ended in silence. This is the result.
The first minute is identical to the original, and then it goes off the rails unto nearly 16 minutes of AI doing its thing. While I take no credit for it, Suno seemed to do alright. Though maybe that original is just such a banger, anything resulting from it will also be a banger! ;)
